Stefanos Barbalias is a songwriter, composer, performer, sound designer, and actor. He specializes in composing for video art projects, art installations, and dance productions. Additionally, he is known for his work in creating and performing multimedia theatre projects.

He graduated from the Athens School of Drama "George Theodosiadis" in 2000 and completed his music studies in piano, guitar, and electronic music production. He is also a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers.

The projects he has collaborated on as a composer and sound designer have been presented at prominent venues, including the Venice Biennale, the National Museum of Contemporary Art in Athens, the Thessaloniki Biennale of Contemporary Art, the Documentary Film Festival of Thessaloniki, the Onassis Cultural Centre, the Hellenic American Union, Dino Morra Arte Contemporanea, the Prague Biennale, and Greek National Television.

In 2025, he also participated in the movie Receptions, directed by Filippos Tsitos.

He has performed in numerous venues across Greece and Europe, including the Fringe Festival in Scotland, Sofar in Spain, and Durban in South Africa.
